Lee Mutunga

Lee is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths, and Notary Public. He is a young member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and holds a Master's degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Leicester.

 

With seven years of post-qualification experience spanning national and international practice, Lee brings a sophisticated, globally informed perspective to complex legal matters.

Lee's career began in the legal department of Kenya Power and Lighting Company, where he developed specialised expertise in commercial contracts, power purchase agreements, and energy sector regulation. He subsequently joined the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), working on high-level projects involving investor-state dispute settlement, electronic commerce, security interests, and investment arbitration.

 

In addition to his practice, Lee serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Corporate Law at Riara University, where he contributes to the development of the next generation of legal professionals.
