Kiprono is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Notary Public. He holds a Master of Laws with distinction from the University of Portsmouth, and brings over eight years of post-qualification experience in the practice.

He begun his legal career and trained at Hamilton & Mathews (now Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews) before founding Chirchir & Co. Advocates, which subsequently evolved into Lee, Kwesiga & Kiprono Advocates LLP. He has also served as a Legal Researcher in the High Court of Kenya, where he handled a wide range of commercial, land and family law matters.​

Outside practice, Kiprono is an avid pianist and a licensed football agent.
